Dr Arne Rubinstein has been working with teenagers and their families for over 30 years as a doctor, counsellor, mentor, speaker and workshop facilitator. He is the author of the 2013 book The Making of Men, which has become a bestseller. He was the CEO and co-founder of the Pathways Foundation, which creates contemporary rites of passage for adolescents. He recently founded Uplifting Australia to improve the emotional wellbeing and resilience of children and families.

His keynote addresses, programs and seminars are designed to support boys and girls and their parents and teachers to successfully make a safe, healthy transition from children to young adults. In 2008, he was nominated for Australian of the Year for his groundbreaking work with youth.

Through his ‘Dr Arne School Program’, he carries the message of the importance of a Rite of Passage in helping young people to understand and acknowledge how they are changing, and to honour their unique gifts and talents. His programs and seminars are practical, entertaining and insightful. They provide much-needed answers and tools to help a generation of young men and women be happy and motivated about life.

He is currently running programs with schools around Australia including Melbourne Grammar, The King’s School, Christ Church Grammar, Aquinas College and Sacred Heart College. He runs presentations and workshops for parents and teens, as well as running staff professional development and training.

His spectacular bush property on the North Coast of New South Wales, YarraKoora, has been transformed into a camping and leadership training facility. Young men and women come from around the world to participate in workshops and camps that offer support, celebration and direction for the passage to adulthood, and for the people who act as guides on this journey.

Dr Arne is the passionate father of two wonderful young men, a mentor to many, a practising ER doctor, as well as being a keen surfer and musician.
