He grew up surrounded by Aboriginal sacred country and sacred sites on the river country. As a musician, Ron has performed around the world as a Didgeridoo soloist, and is passionate about keeping Aboriginal stories, art, and culture alive.
Ron is a cultural educator, sharing his knowledge on Indigenous history, the environment, social justice, arts practice, and the positive contribution of indigenous people to Australian society (MA Education RMIT University). He regularly performs as part of the music duo, Kinja with his wife, Sarah James and has worked for over 30 years delivering cultural healing programs in the youth justice sector.
